Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support our actuarial and insurance functions. Based in Hong Kong, this role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career within the insurance industry by contributing to pricing, reserving, financial modelling, and risk management activities.The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing financial data to assess risk, supporting actuarial valuations, and assisting with regulatory submissions. You will work closely with other departments, including underwriting, finance, and product development to ensure our offerings remain competitive and compliant with market standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing actuarial analyses across a variety of insurance products
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and projections
- Supporting pricing, reserving, and capital modelling activities
- Developing and maintaining actuarial models and tools
- Conducting experience studies and profitability analyses
- Contributing to regulatory reporting and compliance processes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on business initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Progress in actuarial examinations from a recognised actuarial body (e.g. IFoA, SOA)
- 1-3 years of actuarial experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
- Experience with actuarial software tools such as Prophet, VBA, R, or Python is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Good command of written and spoken English; Cantonese is a plus
This is a full-time position based in Hong Kong, with a monthly salary of HKD 30,000. We offer a supportive and flexible working environment that encourages professional development and actuarial exam success.
