A well-established and growing organisation operating within a dynamic commercial environment is seeking a motivated Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multi-faceted business, supporting end-to-end finance operations while leveraging modern ERP systems to drive accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capability.

Your new role
Reporting to the GM, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function and ensuring the integrity of financial data across the business. You will play a key role in month-end processes, financial reporting, and continuous improvement within the finance function.Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end processing of financial transactions within the ERP system
• Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial records
• Processing payroll journals, fixed assets, and inventory transactions
• Delivering month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Preparing financial reports and analysis for leadership
• Ensuring compliance with GST, BAS, and statutory requirements
• Reconciling sub-ledgers and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liaising with external advisors and supporting audit requirements
• Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance systems

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3-5+ years' experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Wiise or similar)
• Solid understanding of Australian tax compliance including GST and BAS
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience working with inventory systems (highly regarded)
