Description

Hoffman Nies Dave & Meyer LLP is seeking an experienced, self-directed accountant for a Denver-based role expected to be approximately 40 hours per week.

This position supports a small law firm and touches nearly every aspect of daily accounting operations, including transaction entry and review, reconciliations, payroll, benefits management, and reporting. The right candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, sound judgment, and the ability to understand both transaction-level detail and the related financial statement impact.

The accountant will be trained by and work closely with existing accounting personnel. We are looking for someone who communicates well, works effectively with partners and staff, asks good questions, and can operate independently once trained while still being part of a collaborative accounting team.

A hybrid work schedule may be available after training.

Requirements

      Undergraduate degree in accounting from an accredited university

      Prior experience in a role with meaningful independent accounting responsibility

      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup functions, pivot tables, writing and debugging formulas, and maintaining data sets
