Description

Jaco Oil Company is seeking a limited experience degreed accountant to join its Family Office team.

This role is responsible for supporting financial and accounting activities including data transmittals, financial reporting, cash flows tracking and related reporting and analysis responsibilities.

This is an on-site role with flexibility for either a full-time or part-time schedule during weekdays.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and support financial and accounting reports.
Manage data transmittals and related financial documentation
Assist with cash flow tracking, reconciliations, and reporting
Perform financial analysis and help prepare reports for leadership
Support accounting activities related to family office operations
Provide administrative and reporting support to executive management as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
Collaborate effectively with the Family Office Controller and internal stakeholders
Willingness to ask questions and learn effectively

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
1-8 years of professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

CPA designation or active progress toward CPA
Experience in family office, professional services, or fiduciary accounting environments
Knowledge of oil and gas accounting
Knowledge of real estate accounting
Experience learning or using Microsoft Dynamics or other enterprise accounting systems
Experience supporting software implementations or process improvements
