Description
Apriem Tax & Accounting Services, LLC (ATAS) is building a modern, integrated tax and accounting platform designed to support high-net-worth individuals and families. This is a foundational hire responsible for establishing and leading the firm’s tax function in close collaboration with advisory teams.
We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead and build our tax services platform. This role will serve as the primary tax professional and signing authority, with responsibility for tax preparation, planning integration, and process development.
This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level and play a key role in shaping the future of Apriem’s tax and accounting offering. This role is designed for a professional who values depth, quality, and long-term client relationships over traditional public accounting volume. There are no billable hour requirements.

Serve as signing authority for client and firm tax filings
Own and utilize tax planning software, including analysis and interpretation to deliver actionable insights
Partner with financial advisors on proactive tax planning strategies such as Roth conversions, capital gains planning, charitable giving, and equity compensation
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and planning recommendations
Coordinate with external CPAs and third-party professionals when applicable
Manage IRS and state tax correspondence and maintain compliance documentation
Develop and improve tax workflows, systems, and processes
Support future hiring, training, and development of tax staff as the platform grows

Must obtain a California CPA license within six (6) months of employment (if not already licensed in CA)
Minimum 5+ years of tax preparation experience, including complex individual and entity returns
Experience reviewing and signing tax returns preferred
Strong understanding of multi-state taxation and high-net-worth client needs
Prior RIA, wealth management, or family office experience a plus
