TITLE: Staff Accountant
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Treasury
REPORTS TO: Corporate Controller
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time Non-Exempt
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Maintenance of all receivable billings/reporting/processing.
- Prepare check deposits.
- Apply daily electronic funds transfer (EFT) receipt transactions.
- A/R sub ledger maintenance.
- Responsible for A/R collections.
- Airlines Clearing House billings, rejections and re-bills.
- Maintenance of all accounts payable processes.
- Review payables for accuracy and enter into accounting system following GAAP.
- Draft weekly payment batches.
- Manage and maintain online expense reimbursement system.
- Review expense reports for accuracy.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Maintain subsidiary schedules.
- Assist with special projects as required.
- Investigate discrepancies on financial statements and propose adjusting entries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years previous accounting experience.
- Technical abilities:
- Excellent Excel and Access skills. Ability to use/understand complex macros and formulas.
- Experience in electronic transfers of data between systems.
- Experienced with accounting software. Sage Intacct experience a plus.
- Ability to learn on the fly.
- Self-starter who is able to work independently and accurately, manage multiple priorities and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
SALARY INFORMATION:
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. New hires are typically brought in between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience, qualifications and internal equity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
If approved by your department supervisors A4A employees have the option to work from home on Friday. All employees are expected to work in the office Mondays through Thursdays.
