Description
The Complex Liability Consulting (CLC) practice of Risk Consulting, Marsh delivers industry-leading expertise across insurance coverage analysis, contractual risk transfer, policy interpretation, and complex liability advisory services. Our team supports clients in navigating sophisticated risk structures, insurance program design, and contract-based exposure. We are seeking a Senior Insurance Contract Review Specialist to provide advanced contractual risk analysis and technical leadership within this high-impact practice.What can you expect?
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert in insurance contract review and risk transfer analysis across diverse industries.
- Perform detailed review of indemnification, additional insured, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory, limitation of liability, and other key risk allocation provisions.
- Analyze insurance requirements within commercial agreements and assess alignment with clients' general liability and other insurance programs.
- Provide strategic recommendations to risk management clients to strengthen contractual protections and minimize uninsured exposure.
- Interpret complex general liability and umbrella/excess policy language to evaluate contractual risk implications.
- Partner with internal consultants, producers, and client service teams to support large and complex client engagements.
- Develop and maintain coverage comparison charts, contract review summaries, and client-facing technical deliverables.
- Support digital infrastructure and emerging risk projects where contractual risk transfer is critical.
- Ensure high-quality, timely, and defensible work product that reflects senior-level technical authority.
- Adhere to company policies for timekeeping, expense reporting, and billing.

We will count on you to:
- Deliver senior-level technical expertise in contractual risk transfer and insurance coverage interpretation
- Lead complex contract reviews with minimal oversight.
- Provide clear, concise, and defensible written analysis to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify gaps between contractual insurance requirements and actual policy language.
- Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies and contractual enhancements.
- Support producers and risk consultants in strengthening client relationships through technical excellence.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality.
What you need to have:
- Strong general liability coverage expertise (required)
- 7-12+ years of experience in insurance contract review, coverage analysis, risk management, insurance brokerage, consulting, or law.
- Extensive experience reviewing indemnity and insurance provisions in commercial contracts.
- Experience working directly with corporate risk management clients.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $139,800 to $297,900.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
