Your new role
As Principal Corporate Underwriter, you will lead the underwriting of the largest and most complex corporate property risks, typically with total insured values exceeding $1 billion. You'll report directly to the Executive Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the corporate strategy, mentoring junior talent, and building market relationships.This is a high-impact role with visibility across the business and the market. You'll be trusted to represent the organisation externally, manage strategic broker relationships, and contribute to the profitability and growth of a $40m corporate book.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex corporate property risks in line with strategy, guidelines, and delegated authority.
- Lead broker engagement and tripartite relationships with corporate clients.
- Mentor and support junior underwriters and underwriting assistants.
- Collaborate with business development and senior management to drive account acquisition.
- Contribute to portfolio profitability, pricing, and strategic direction.
- Support underwriting operations including documentation, credit management, and servicing.
