Overview
Life Actuarial Analyst Objective
To assist with life actuarial programs, spreadsheets, reports, models, and supporting information for preparation of specific financial reporting, product development, and regulatory and analytical tasks.
Responsibilities
Life Actuarial Analyst Responsibilities
Assist in the generation of financial reports on monthly, quarterly and annual cycles.
Assist in the development of life and annuity rates, rate pages and other system specifications.
Assist with experience studies and provide information for recommendations.
Qualifications
Life Actuarial Analyst Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics or actuarial science.
Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required.
Preferred: Six months' experience with an insurance company in life insurance preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word and Excel) preferred.
Completion of at least one actuarial exam preferred.
Note: This is a Hybrid position working both remotely (from the state of Michigan) and in the Farm Bureau Home Office (located in Lansing, MI), 3 days per week.
